Lachlan Shire Council Appoints New General Manager
Ian Greenham has been appointed General Manager of Lachlan Shire Council on a five-year performance based contract, following a national search led by LG Services Group.
Ian Greenham has been appointed General Manager of Lachlan Shire Council, effective 1 December 2025, under a five year performance based contract.
Mr Greenham brings over two decades of leadership experience across local government and the private sector. Most recently, he served as Director Technical Services at Orange City Council for eight years.
LG Services Group conducted a comprehensive national search led by Senior Executive Advisors Steven Pinnuck and Terrey Kiss. The rigorous recruitment process evaluated candidates on leadership capability, strategic thinking and commitment to regional communities.
Mayor John Medcalf OAM said: "We're very pleased to have Mr Greenham joining us as General Manager. The depth of his knowledge, proven leadership skills and community-focused approach will be an asset to Lachlan Shire."
Mr Greenham said: "I am genuinely excited about the prospect of contributing to the continued success of Lachlan Shire Council and working closely with the team, the councillors and the community."
The appointment follows the resignation of long serving General Manager Greg Tory. Mr Greenham's familiarity with the region, through both councils' involvement in the Central West Joint Organisation, was noted as an advantage.
