Congratulations to Greater Hume Council on the Appointment of Its New General Manager
Dena Vlekkert has been appointed General Manager of Greater Hume Council on a five-year performance based contract, commencing in February 2026.
Greater Hume Council has appointed Dena Vlekkert as General Manager, following a comprehensive recruitment process supported by LG Services Group.
Ms Vlekkert brings nearly two decades of leadership experience across local government and the private sector. She most recently served as Director Community and Corporate at Wodonga City Council, where she managed community services, corporate functions and financial management. She is already based in the Albury-Wodonga region.
Ms Vlekkert will commence in February 2026 under a five year performance based contract. Acting General Manager Colin Kane continues in the role in the meantime.
Senior Executive Advisor Steven Pinnuck from LG Services Group supported the recruitment process. Mr Pinnuck brings extensive local government experience, including prior service as CEO and General Manager in the region.
