Glamorgan Spring Bay Council Announces New Chief Executive Officer
Greg Tory has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Glamorgan Spring Bay Council following a national and international recruitment process, commencing in early September on a four-year contract.
Greg Tory has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Glamorgan Spring Bay Council following a national and international recruitment process. He will commence in early September under a four year performance based contract.
Mr Tory brings over 40 years of local government leadership experience. Most recently, he served as General Manager of Lachlan Shire Council in regional New South Wales for seven years.
Mayor Cheryl Arnol noted that despite attracting around 30 candidates, Mr Tory impressed the CEO Recruitment Panel with his experienced and calm approach, along with his obvious passion and drive for the Glamorgan Spring Bay community.
Mr Tory said: "What a wonderful opportunity Glamorgan Spring Bay has offered me, to be your new Council CEO in one of the most beautiful and well known areas of Tasmania!"
He emphasised his commitment to building relationships with staff and community members while advocating for the municipality's future.
