Former CEO, specialising in: executive recruitment, executive performance reviews, leadership and team development coaching, culture and change management, transition planning and delivery, organisational reviews

Chris has an impressive career of over 42 years of Local Government experience, in both New South Wales and Queensland.

His last role was as Chief Executive Officer of Logan City Council from 2006 to 2016.

Chris has developed a successful consulting career since leaving Logan, specialising in Leadership and Culture, Executive and Management Team development, Executive recruitment, Executive Performance Management and Mentoring. 

He has recruited a CEO for Barcaldine Council and assisted in the recruitment of a CEO for Logan City Council.

Chris was honoured to receive the Public Service Medal (PSM) for his contributions to local government in 2010.

Chris has conducted many assignments for Blackadder Associates in the last 6 years with excellent results and outstanding client feedback.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

Chris is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD), a Fellow of the Australian Institute Managers and Leaders (FIML) (formerly the Institute of Management) and a Fellow of the Local Government Managers Australia (FLGMA). Chris is also a Justice of the Peace (Qualified).

Chris was honoured to receive the Public Service Medal (PSM) in the Australia Day’s Honours list in 2010 for his service to local government.  He also received the LGMA (Queensland) Award for Leadership and Management Excellence in 2014.
